Care at Home
What Is Live-in Care?
With live-in care, a trained carer lives in your home and supports you through the day. They help with personal care, meals and the running of the household, and they are there for company, conversation and reassurance.
For many families, live-in care is a personal alternative to a care home. Couples can stay together, pets can stay at home and daily life carries on in familiar surroundings.
How Your Live-in Carer Helps
Personal care
Help with washing, bathing, dressing and grooming, with dignity and privacy.
Medication support
Prompting or help with medication, as agreed in your care plan.
Home cooked meals
Cooking the meals you enjoy and helping you stay well hydrated.
Running the home
Housework, laundry and keeping your home safe and comfortable.
Companionship
Conversation, hobbies, outings and keeping in touch with friends and family.
Peace of mind
Someone at home to help you stay safe and to respond if something unexpected happens.
